Littleton Welcomes Zübi Dental Health for Adult & Adolescent Dentistry

June 7, 2018

Welcome to Dr. Alison Seliger-Schamberg, general dentist and owner of Zübi Dental Health, and a new sponsor of Macaroni Kid Acton Concord Bedford Lexington! This past November she opened her new dental practice, which is located at The Point in Littleton.

Dr. Seliger, tell me about your practice.

Thank you for welcoming me to Macaroni Kid! I am thrilled to be joining the Nashoba Valley community! I created Zübi Dental Health to be a friendly, welcoming, and state-of-the-art dental office that provides comprehensive oral health care to adult and adolescent patients. Our focus is on creating an atmosphere in which our patients feel comfortable and well cared for, and even enjoy themselves!

What sets your office apart from other dental offices?

At Zübi Dental Health, the patient always comes first. This means that we approach our patients with kindness, use high quality dental equipment and materials, and spend time forging trusting relationships with our patients. For example, our team members focus a great deal on education, and spend the time to make sure our patients understand their oral health conditions and treatment options. We respect our patients and work closely with them when making informed treatment decisions.

The design of our dental office space is also unique. We worked with a dedicated design team to create an inviting environment that maximizes natural light and feels open. Bright colors and an interesting mix of materials like glass, wood, and succulents help create a space that doesn’t feel anything like a dental office. Even our dental chairs feel more like living room chairs.

What new technology are you using in your dental office?

Our office features brand new state-of-the-art dental materials and equipment, including digital x-ray machines. I utilize a number of tools regularly as a service to my patients, which include oral cancer screenings for adult patients using a special light that can detect suspicious tissues in the mouth. I also use a tiny camera to help detect tooth decay and gum disease, and also to take photos of teeth, which is so helpful when explaining my findings and recommendations to patients.

How did you get started in dentistry?

I studied Biology at Cornell University, and knew that I wanted a career that would combine science, art, and helping people. Dentistry seemed like the perfect combination. I received my dental degree from Harvard School of Dental Medicine, and also completed my general dentistry residency at Harvard and at Cambridge Health Alliance. I have since worked at private dental practices throughout Massachusetts, and have continued to learn cutting-edge dentistry through continuing education courses.

What do you like to do outside of dentistry?

Outside of dentistry, I spend most of my time with my spouse and young children. I grew up in Winchester, MA, and I love exploring New England with my family. I also enjoy drawing, painting, and playing the piano.
