Drumlin Farm in the Fall

Learn about the classes and programs that Drumlin Farm offers for kids and families this Fall

August 8, 2019

As the leaves begin to turn and the air gets cooler and crisp, fall is a great time to visit Drumlin Farm with your family and participate in one of their many hands-on farm or nature-based family programs. You can experience life on a working farm as you help farmers with chores in their fields and barns. Learn to milk a cow, gather fresh eggs from the chickens, and harvest veggies from the garden before putting it to bed for the winter.

Explore the field, forest, and wetland habitats as you go on a bug hunt, look for frogs in ponds, and discover tracks and signs of birds and other wildlife that live on the sanctuary. You can even learn the connections between farms and food in their farm-to-table lessons and cooking classes. Take a trip as a general visitor, or take part in one of their upcoming regular family and child fall programs: one-time visits or 8 week series.

4-H is at Drumlin Farm!
Youth Program Ages 5-15

4-H is America’s largest youth development organization—empowering nearly six million young people across the U.S. with the skills to lead for a lifetime. In 4 H, we believe in the power of young people. We see that every child has valuable strengths and real influence to improve the world around us. The 4 H idea is simple: help young people and their families gain the skills needed to be proactive forces in their communities and develop ideas for a more innovative economy. We partner with 4-H leaders to provide signature farm-and-nature programming. 4-H is a year-long program which meets every other Saturday 9/21/19-5/16/20.
