Me, as a first-time mom: Is my child eating enough? Is he developing at the rate he should be? Are his motor skills on track with his age level? Should he know his alphabet by now? How am I supposed to know all this?

Me, as a second-time mom: Yes, all of that is probably age-appropriate, but let me just check quick to make sure. That is when I head to take the free Ages & Stages Questionnaires online.

As moms, we play with our kids a lot, creating towers of building blocks, coloring works of art, participating in backyard sports, and more. As we play, we know that it’s helping them grow and develop. But kids grow fast, and it can be hard to know whether they’re developing age-appropriate skills in the correct time frame.

My pediatrician uses the Ages & Stages Questionnaires (ASQ), a fun and comprehensive survey that we complete at each well-visit. It’s fantastic; it helps me understand where my kids should be with their milestones, and if they are meeting benchmarked skills for their age. It’s an easy way to understand what I can do to help my sons get to where they need to be and to celebrate their development along the way.

I am excited to share that ANY parent or caregiver can work through this questionnaire with their kids for free online. With back-to-school right around the corner it's the perfect time to review your child's development.

The Ages & Stages Questionnaires (ASQ) is the fastest and easiest way to see what your child can do and to make sure they’re developing age-appropriate skills.

After filling in your child’s birthdate, you’ll get a questionnaire that is tailored specifically to their age. Ten to fifteen minutes later, once you’ve finished, you’ll get a snapshot of your child’s current skills and the milestones, along with skill-building activities that your kids will love doing to help them grow and learn. The best part is, upon completion you will receive information about recommended next steps and resources relevant to your child’s development.

Head over to take the free questionnaire, see where your child stands, and be entered to win a $200 Amazon gift card (optional).
