Summer is fast approaching and Grotonwood Summer Camp is ramping up preparations for an epic season. New activities for 2020 include Archery Tag (with paint!), a high ropes Zipline, and Laser Tag! New feathery, fluffy and buzzy additions include two peacocks named Lord Aquila Adoniram and Lady Priscilla Hasseltine, a German Shorthaired Pointer called Maddie-Grace who is the new queen of the maintenance truck, and a snow-white Pomeranian called Alpine, who keeps things ticking along in the camp office. Last but not least, and most important to our local environment, two Honey Bee hives. As well as helping to support our local ecosystem, Grotonwood is hoping to teach educational beekeeping classes in 2021.
