This was my family’s first time at Rindge Playground, and it quickly became a new favorite! It is located on a quiet neighborhood street and you are able to park on the street alongside the park. There is so much to do here, from playing on the structures to having a picnic to walking the trail around the reservoir.

The playground’s main structure has plenty of things to climb as well as three slides and monkey bars. Underneath the structure is a spider web climber.

I loved that it was an interactive and educational park as well. There was a large list of animal tracks to find which were located throughout the playground. While watching my kids run around trying to find all the animal tracks, I checked out the unique mushroom stools located on the playground. I thought they were the kind that spin, but they are actually just solid stools to sit on, and I thought it was a creative addition to add to the overall theme of the playground.

The playground has one regular swing, two baby swings, and one handicap swing. I was glad to see the variety and that there were swings for everybody, but the only thing I would change would be possibly one more regular swing.

The ground is a mix of mulch and soft rubber, and the park is fenced in on the side by the street. The other side of the park is home to a section of the Arlington Reservoir, and there is a walking trail along the edge. We took a nice walk and checked out the water after we were done playing. There were several people walking on the trail; however, we had the playground to ourselves that day.

After we took a walk, we took a break and had a snack and drink on one of the picnic tables which was shaded near the playground. There is another picnic table located closer to the water as well.

There is also a basketball court located at the park, separated from the playground by a field. Nobody was there the day we attended and we had scooters in the car, so before leaving we spent some time scooting around the court.

This is such a great spot to spend an afternoon playing, exploring, picnicking, and walking. We spent a few hours here and really loved all the park had to offer!
