Founded by Singaporean math teacher Kar Hwee Koh in 2014, Lexington Singapore School offers K-12 Singapore math after-school classes in two locations in Lexington and Acton and also online. Its unique curriculum adapts the best of the Singaporean pedagogy to local academic requirements, while small class sizes are designed to maximize learning in a small group setting. Students enjoy coming to fun and engaging lessons every week, either in-person or remotely via Zoom.

Today, Lexington Singapore school has over 30 teachers teaching almost 500 kids in small group classes, from kindergarten through high school. Their curriculum is designed based on highly successful pedagogy and methodology from Singapore and adapted to the local school requirements.
Their teachers are active or retired school teachers in the greater Boston area who come to the program to share their knowledge and passion for math education with eager students every week. Classes are deliberately kept small for individualized attention and learning but also big enough to have lively discussions and group learning synergies.
Fall classes run from September through January, and Spring classes run from late January through June.

| "My rising tenth-grade twins first joined Kar Hwee at Lexington Singapore School (LSS) when they were in first grade and they remained LSS students all the way to high school! I was looking for a math program that focused on the theory of math — one that could teach the kids how to think mathematically, how to understand and conceptualize math, rather than how to memorize and repeat math facts. The problem-solving the kids were doing as lower elementary school students at Lexington Singapore School really demonstrated how comfortable they were learning how math worked. Math was fun and challenging — then and now. They understand it and have a great time with it, even when it is difficult. This was all I was hoping for and far more! As a bonus, the twins are at the very top of their honors math classes, have participated on their school math team, and have won math awards in school. And year after year after year, their Lexington Singapore School math teams have won the New England Regional Continental Math League (CML) Contest.
