Carlisle Castle Park is a modern, spacious playground located right next to the Spalding School in Carlisle. I love the whole design of the park and was really impressed with how many different areas and play structures they have here! There is something for everyone.

The park was updated a couple of years ago, and the wooden playground provides endless fun and adventure. My kids’ favorite part was the zip line and the large metal slide. Older kids will love the obstacle course aspect to it where you have to climb up a rope webbing to get to the top of the slide.

There are also multiple slides, swings for all ages, monkey bars, tunnels, rock climbing walls, and more.

The park also incorporates a lot of educational aspects, such as signs teaching the children braille, sign language, and Spanish. There is a musical area as well where you can play with drums and chimes. There really is something for everyone!

There is a section of picnic tables located in the shade, and benches are located throughout the park. I appreciate how well kept and clean it was here. On the day we went the park was busy, but it didn’t feel overwhelming because there is plenty of space for everyone.

It’s important to note that this park is not open to the public during school hours since it is a part of Spalding School, but it is open to the public outside of school hours. I’ve also seen people hold birthday parties here. Whether you’re looking for a new park to explore with your kids or for a group play date, Castle Park is the perfect adventure for little ones! If you have really little ones, Diment Tot Lot Park is also located on the same street and is another super fun play space for kids.
