It’s back to school -- time to sign up for music lessons! Indian Hill Music School offers private and beginner group lessons, Suzuki violin and guitar, an early childhood program, and youth, teen, and adult ensembles, combos, and bands, in all styles – classical, jazz, folk, rock, and more. Located just off Rt. 495 in Littleton, Indian Hill is the area’s premier non-profit community music school, with 1,200 students of all ages and abilities, and 60+ highly-qualified instructors of over 30 instruments and voice.

Early childhood and beginner classes, including the popular Music for Aardvarks program for ages 1-4, and Drum Buddies for ages 4-6 teach melody, movement, and rhythm basics. The youngest singers can join our new Prelude Chorus for ages 4-5, the introductory ensemble of our lively Youth Choruses program.

Children who are not quite ready for private lessons can explore an instrument in one of Indian Hill’s lively beginner classes. Multi-week group sessions in piano, violin, drums, guitar, ukulele, flute, clarinet, and recorder introduce children to learning an instrument in a relaxed and fun environment to prepare them for private lessons. We also offer a Suzuki program for ages 4-6 in violin and guitar -- a highly-effective parent-and-child-centered learning method.

A wide variety of skill building youth, teen, and adult classes and ensembles include Indian Hill Music Youth Choruses for ages 4-13, Youth Wind Ensemble for intermediate-to-advanced winds, brass, and percussion players in grades 7-12; Indian Hill Music Youth Orchestras for string, winds, brass, and percussionists from advanced beginner to advanced youth players, School of Rock bands, Traditional Acoustic Roots Ensemble, Jazz ensembles and more. Adults can learn and play in a social environment in the New Horizons Concert Band for beginners or Ukulele Club, a selection of chamber ensembles, and more.

Private lesson registration is ongoing. Classes and ensembles begin in October. Need-based scholarships are available for all programs. Register now at www.indianhillmusic.org or by calling (978) 486-9524 (press 0).

Free Class Day: Saturday, September 18, 9 AM-4 PM (registration opens end of August)
