Want a summer camp that is fun and intentional with our program and philosophy? You found it! Camp Hawkeye is that summer camp!

Choosing to send your child to Hawkeye is a decision that benefits not just your camper, but your entire family. Camp provides children with independence, confidence, and the resilience-skills that profoundly shape who they become as they grow. Through this experience, campers return home more self-aware, adaptable, and better prepared for the responsibilities and relationships of life outside of camp., while families gain the joy of seeing their child thrive in new and meaningful ways.

At Hawkeye, children are welcomed into a safe, inclusive, and joyful community where they belong exactly as they are. Guided by trained, encouraging staff, campers participate fully in hands-on activities that spark curiosity, teamwork, and personal growth. Away from screens and daily pressures, kids unplug, reconnect with nature, and rediscover themselves- building friendships, confidence and memories that last a lifetime. It’s more than a summer camp; it’s an investment in who your child is becoming.

For our families with 16 and 17 year olds, we have a phenomenal Leadership Development Program. When you enroll your teenager in our CiT program, you’re giving them more than a summer experience, you’re giving them real-world preparation in a setting they actually enjoy. Teens learn practical life skills like communication, responsibility, teamwork, and decision-making, all through hands-on leadership, guided mentorship, and meaningful peer collaboration. This isn’t a classroom lecture, it’s learning by doing, supported by encouraging adults who know how to bring out the best in teens.

By the end of the 4-week program, participants go home with a polished resume, having completed an apprenticeship, successfully led an evening activity as a group, and practiced being a positive rode model to younger campers. They experience what it means to influence others in a healthy, impactful way, building confidence, empathy, and accountability. These skills translate directly to college and the workplace, helping teens adjust more smoothly to independence, leadership expectations, and professional environments. It’s a program that looks impressive on college applications, and even more importantly, prepares teens for life beyond them.

Business Review

"Avery started asking about going back to camp about three minutes after she woke up the day after we picked her up. We're thrilled to have her go back next summer. 4 weeks this time! Thank you so much for everything you all do and for creating such an inclusive and joyous experience for these kids."  ~ Rebecca, daughter age 11 – first time parent, Summer 2023

“It is so wonderful to see her coming out of her shell. She is attending the homecoming game tonight and the dance tomorrow. She has a group chat with her bunk and is just so much happier than she has ever been!” ~ Christine, daughter age 15 – first time parent, Summer 2023

"One of the things I love most about Hawkeye is the positive, intentional leadership opportunities the program provides for all age groups. When my son started, he was 12, now he is going to be a CiT and he continues to grow and be challenged."  ~ Rebecca, son age 15, Summer 2024
