Oak Meadow School is an independent school inspiring children from 15 months through 8th grade. The Beginners Program is for toddlers age 15 months to 3 years. Beginners learn by "doing", using carefully crafted materials to create an immersive educational environment that's fun. Beginners work on practical life skills, speech and language, exploring the natural world, art and music, and sensory activities. Student to teacher ratio is 4:1.
Children's House is for children age 3-6 years old. Students build critical foundations using task-oriented Montessori materials to explore language, order, movement and the senses. The program includes math, language, cultural studies (geography, history and science), Spanish, art, music, practical life, STEM and especially social and emotional learning.
Lower Elementary students are in Grades 1-3. Studies are child-driven and include math, Spanish, social and emotional learning, STEM, and other key topics.
The Upper Elementary program is for Grades 4-6, a unique developmental stage. Students are challenged intellectually in a supportive environment that fosters confidence, independence, problem-solving and community.
The Middle School program is for Grades 7-8. In addition to in-depth study and exploration, students develop self-reflection, teamwork, effective communication and critical thinking skills.
