Discovery Museum, celebrating their 40th anniversary in 2022, is a hands-on museum for families that blends science, nature, and play. The museum combines open-ended STEAM exhibits—water, air, sound, light & color, making & tinkering, simple machines, math—with immersive early learning experiences including a diner, train room, and ship room, along with an early learning space for 0-3 year olds. And, there’s a giant treehouse and outdoor nature playscape! The entire 4.5-acre campus is ADA-compliant and designed according to Universal Design principles to be accessible. All exhibits are hands-on, low-tech, open-ended, and interactive, to encourage play, exploration, and experimentation by all.

Special Features:

  • Outdoor nature playscape includes a 550square foot accessible treehouse, nest swing, rain garden, slide hill, and more
  • 13' interactive air maze sculpture
