Description

From The FreeBee Market:

The FreeBee Market is back, and excited to add some of the traditional elements of Boxborough's Harvest Fair this week.

As a recap, at the FreeBee Market, you can expect to find free 'gleaned' produce and prepared dishes from Roche Bros, and nearby farms, frozen meat from Shaw's, extra veggies grown by *you* & our neighbors, and delicious free treats baked by our community. Some pantry items may also be available.

We'll be celebrating the Harvest even more officially this week, with a hand-crank cider press, music from the Nashoba Valley Concert Band (11am), and an option to join the 'Blessing of the Animals' by Rev. Cindy from UCCB.

We may not be able to offer prize ribbons for the biggest and best produce or baked creations this year, but we promise that any contributions you bring will be happily consumed by your neighbors who take them home.

This week's event will also feature:

1. The Boxborough Sustainability Committee is back with a table of info an give-aways. Chat with them about solar and composting programs, and other initiatives to make us a more sustainable community.

2. The book 'swap' is back! Bring 0-5 books, and take as many as you can read.

3. The ever-popular Plant Corner: Share plants or cut flowers from your garden, and/or 'adopt' some potted perennials to bring back to your yard or windowsill.

Plant 'swap' rules:
a) bring any cut flowers or perennials you'd like to share, but please *label* the name of the plant
b) free pots are available before or during the event - reach out!
c) bring any plants or cut flowers to share to the tree anytime after 10am
d) take as many as you'd like!

4. Birthday Supply 'Closet'
Born out of the spirit of this event, and the AB area 'Buy Nothing' group, we're helping collect re-useable kids' birthday party supplies. Bring yours to drop off in the bin, or collect any that you can use at your upcoming event.

5. Kids' fun will be back with event info, kid crafts, a bounce house, sidewalk chalk, and corn hole.

We also have water and lemonade stations set up near 2 different shaded 'conversation areas', with chairs and a canopy. Bring your re-useable water bottle! ❤
