Indoor and outdoor activities will include making one-of-a-kind noisemakers; a celebratory parade to a cake-cutting ceremony at 11:00am; a performance of "Dhol-Tasha-Lezim," a "double-headed drumming and dance" folk art form that is indigenous to Maharashtra, a state on the west coast of India; and classic Discovery Museum activities such as Balls & Ramps, Cup Towers, a "Discovery Quest" scavenger hunt—with chances to win a free membership—and more.
State and local officials will be on hand for the cake-cutting ceremony at 11:00am. Mini cupcakes donated by Concord Teacakes will be served to visitors. An ice cream truck will be on site from noon to 3:00pm.
