Description
From Lexington Historical Society:
The Battle of Lexington reverberated far beyond the small town common that started a war. Ordinary citizens were swept up in a new revolution, navigating its politics and picking up the pieces left behind. Stop by Buckman Tavern to hear some of these perspectives: Why did we fight in the first place? How did we care for the wounded? What role did women play in politics? How did the war impact trade, from England all the way to China? Chat with seasoned historical reenactors to dive deep into the history of the ordinary folk of 1775.
In the event of rain, displays will move inside the tavern and be included with standard museum admission.
